Introduction
This house started off as a modest 4-bedroomed home in on the outskirts of Whipsnade, Dunstable.
KTA was approached by the client and asked to create a design for an extension that would see it grow into more of an impressive mansion!

The Brief
Our client wanted to transform their fairly standard property into a totally different category of house and we were delighted to be chosen for this fabulous project and turn their vision into reality.
A huge extension was added which included an indoor swimming pool, a gym, a family room, and a games room with a bar. And that was just one section of the house.
Additionally, we also created the designs for a loft conversion, details of which are on a separate case study.
We worked closely with our client in order to devise the most suitable design for the amount of additional space we were creating, to ensure that the finished result was in keeping with their vision for the property.
An important factor for our client was to be able to take in the views of the garden from the new indoor swimming pool.
The Result
To ensure the impressive gardens could be seen from the site of the swimming pool, we designed large arched windows to take advantage of the views and high, vaulted ceilings to maximise the feeling of space.
The family room and the gym have a perfect view of the indoor pool through fully glazed walls, and the large windows, doors and large atrium in the roof make the kitchen / dining / family room incredibly light and airy.
